On Thursday, December 2, 2021, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Research Laboratory of Wireless and Mobile Telecommunication Systems https://wimots.ds.uth.gr/ of the Department of Digital Systems of the University of Thessaly, which is headed and represented by Professor George Karetsos and Computer Engineering http://telnas.ece.uowm.gr/ of the Polytechnic School of the University of Western Macedonia, which is directed and represented by Assoc. Professor Malamati Louta.
The memorandum of cooperation aims at jointly promoting the educational, scientific and research cooperation of the two research laboratories, in the framework of their strategy and objectives, with a clear orientation and emphasis on the international presence, extroversion and the growing demands of research and innovation.
The memorandum of cooperation includes:
- Collaboration in research projects and research for the joint submission of research proposals.
- Exchange of scientific information and research data and the joint publication of research results of joint research projects.
- Collaboration in the supervision of doctoral dissertations.
- Organization of joint scientific and academic events.
- Utilization of available resources such as scientific instruments and scientific software.
- Mutual visits of researchers and faculty members for the implementation of common goals and the transfer of know-how.
